WHERE TO APPLY FOR YOUR MARRIAGE LICENSE

Marriage licenses are issued in the Recorder's Office located in Room 105 of the Courthouse. Office hours are Monday thru Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

If you will be married in Idaho, you must obtain a marriage license. If you are to be married in another state, you will need to get a license from that state.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED IF YOU ARE OVER 18 YEARS OF AGE
Both people need to appear at the courthouse in person.

• Both need forms of photo identification.

• Both must have a Social Security Card.

• Fill out marriage license application forms.

• Read and sign pamphlet on AIDS in Recorder's Office.

• Cost: $28.00

Two copies are issued -- one is for the couple, the other is sent in by the person performing the ceremony to be recorded.

WHO CAN PERFORM THE WEDDING CEREMONY?

Judge, Mayor or Minister. The Mayor may be contacted at 878-2224 and the Minister is of your choice. You will need to contact these people early so you will be placed on their calendar.
