Apply EarlyA regular expedite takes approximately 7 to 10 working days. If you need it sooner than this we can get them in about 5 days by sending a copy of your Airline ticket or your Travel Itinerary showing a departure date of 14 days or less.

Question: If I send my original Birth Certificate along with my Passport Application,
is it returned?
Answer: Yes.
Question: Is a hospital Birth Certificate
acceptable?
Answer: No. Only a State-Issued Certified Copy or original Birth Certificate is
accepted.
Question: How long does it take to receive my passport?
Answer: You will receive your passport in four (4) to six (6) working weeks. An
expedited passport will take two (2) to three (3) working weeks. Overnight
service must be handled by the U. S. Post Office.
Question: How many years is my passport valid?
Answer: If you are under the age of sixteen (16), your passport will be valid for
five (5) years. Sixteen (16) years and older, the passport is valid for
ten (10) years.Does your office
do renewals?
Cassia County does supply renewal applications; however, we do not process
them.
Question: Where can I get my picture taken?
Answer: Please refer to the Yellow Pages under "Photographers" for services.
Question: How long do I have to renew my passport after it expires?
Answer: There is a five (5) year period that renewal by mail is accepted. After
that time period, you must reapply.
Question: Can I sign my application before I bring it in?
Answer: No.
The application must be signed in the presence of an authorized passport
clerk.
Question: If my children are applying for a passport, what must they do?
Answer: If the child is under fourteen (14) years of age, we must have both
parents consent. Everyone must appear in person.
