The Cassia County Board
of Commissioners met this day in emergency session dealing with an
indigent matter with Chairman Dennis Crane, Paul Christensen and
Clay D. Handy, Board Members; Alfred E. Barrus, Prosecuting
Attorney; Kerry D. McMurray, County Administrator, and Amy Kramer,
Welfare Director, present.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
At 4:30 pm it was
proposed by Commissioner Handy and seconded by Commissioner
Christensen that the Board convene in Executive Session under Idaho
Code Section 67-2345(1)(d) with Commissioner Christensen voting yea,
Commissioner Crane voting yea, and Commissioner Handy voting yea.
The purpose and general tenor of the meeting was to discuss medical
indigent matters. Following the discussion, the Board returned to
regular session at 5:05 pm. Case No. 2009-090 was presented for
31-day Emergency Pre-approval. County Prosecutor Al Barrus was
asked to write a letter to the doctor to determine if the requested
procedure was medically necessary. Provided that the response to
this letter is affirmative, the Board moved to approve the
application, thereafter authorizing the welfare director to move
forward on the matter. The Board thereafter recessed at 5:10 pm.

until 9:00 a.m., Monday, August 24, 2009.
