Cassia County does not

Cassia County Administrator, has been designated to
coordinate compliance with the non-discrimination requirements contained
in section 35.107 of the Department of Justice regulations. Information
concerning the provisions of the American with Disabilities Act, and the
rights provided thereunder, are available from the County Administration
Office, room 4, in the basement of the Cassia County Courthouse located
at 1459 Overland Avenue, Burley, Idaho.

HANDICAP PARKING
- is located on the south side of the courthouse near the ramp on the
southeast entrance and is marked with a handicap sign. Additional
handicap parking is available on the south side of the Law Enforcement
Building.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESS
- The southeast entrance to Cassia County Courthouse provides a covered
ramp into the lower level of the courthouse. An elevator on that floor
is available for accessibility to the first and second floors.
HEARING IMPAIRED
- Sign language interpreters, utilizing both the correct English method
and the American Sign Language method are available upon request at the
Clerk of Court's office, Room 105, on the first floor. A deputy clerk
may be available for note taking during hearings or meetings. This can
be requested at the Clerk of Court's office, Room 105, located on the
first floor. A personal PA system is available for use during hearings
or meetings. Systems are available upon request in the District Court
room, as well as at the Commissioner's Office located in the basement.
The TDD phone system is available for hearing impaired persons to use in
calling out of the courthouse. AT&T provides a relay system for incoming
calls to the courthouse for hearing impaired persons.
SPEECH IMPAIRED
- A deputy clerk can be available upon request for aid in exchanging
written notes. This can be requested at the Clerk of Court's office,
Room 105, located on the first floor.
VISUAL IMPAIRED
- A deputy clerk or other designated personnel is available to provide
assistance in locating different offices, etc. in the courthouse. This
can be requested at the Clerk of Court's office, Room 105, located on
the first floor.
ELEVATOR
- An elevator is located in the building
that provides access to the second and third floors of the courthouse,
where the courtrooms are located.
RESTROOMS
- We now have handicap accessible restrooms on the lower basement level
of the courthouse. |
