Jury Service Questions and Answers

  • Cassia County is providing the following Q&A to address most of the commonly asked questions regarding Jury Service.
  • Jury Service is a constitutional civil right and privilege and the Jury Commission is charged with managing the process.
  • Many questions are asked and many misconceptions exist about being summoned for jury service.
  • The Cassia County Jury Commission will work with all who are summoned in a respectful and courteous manner.

Current Summoned Juror Information

  • October 1, 2022 - November 30, 2022 (Prospective Jurors FQ1-FQ800)
  • December 1, 2022 - December 31, 2022 (Prospective Jurors FR1-FR400)
  • January 1, 2023 - February 28, 2023 (Prospective Jurors FS1-FS800)

NOTICE TO ALL SUMMONED JURORS

  • Please refer to the Jury Calendar linked at the top of this page or displayed at the bottom of the page, OR
  • During the time you have been summoned for jury service, please call the Jury Information hotline at (208) 878-4367 AFTER 5:30 PM on Friday of each week to know if you are required to be in attendance.
  • For faster response time with your jury service questions or concerns, please email: jury@cassiacounty.org
  • All requests for temporary excuses need to be submitted to the Jury Commission at least 1 (one) week in advance of a jury trial and  must be submitted in writing via mail or email to: jury@cassiacounty.org
